New Fish Creek Motel for 2016

As many of you may have heard by now, we will be tearing down the current motel and rebuilding a new motel from scratch. We have been updating the rooms the last 6 years and each time we open a wall or floor we would find more and more issues. It has gotten to the point where building a new motel makes more sense than “putting lipstick on a pig”. So we began the process of applying for permits and variances during late summer. We received our final approval on the 19th of November.

The new motel will be a two story motel with 21 rooms (plus our café suite above the café to make 22 total). The rooms with mostly have one king bed or two queen beds. We will also have one king suite with a whirlpool and fireplace. The motel office will now be located in the motel instead of running it out of the café. For those that are familiar with the previous motel set-up, the office will be where room 1A was. We will still have some pet friendly rooms for those who like to travel with furry family members. Not all of the rooms will be pet friendly for those who need rooms free of pet allergens.

Below is a rough mock up of what the motel will look like. This is the first floor. Not all furniture is shown in the rooms are we are still in the process of purchasing it. The bed layouts are correct as well as the room numbers. Please feel free to email or call with any questions. We hope to see you on your next trip to Door County!
