Dining with a toddler can be challenging. I know this first-hand. My daughter just turned 2 a couple weeks ago. Each time we go out to eat, there are new challenges. I'm sure you have many ideas of your own but here are some of mine. 1. Pick the right restaurant. Some restaurants lend themselves toward families with kids more than others. At Julie's, we love having kids. We have a fun atmosphere where a little noise isn't a bother. We provide coloring sheets and toy boxes for kids. We have an incentive treasure chest where kids get to pick a toy at the end of their meal. We have high chairs and booster seats as well as changing tables in the women's AND men's room! There are other restaurants that are kid friendly in the area as well. Ask us when you're in the cafe and we would gladly give you directions for your next meal. 2. So, what do you want to be when you grow up? A Celebrity chef on food network T.V

Favorite Part of working in a restaurant? Creating good food from scratch, for good Customers. And maintaining a good reputation for are restaurant and community .

Favorite menu item? Are Door County Burger, if your not a fan of Swiss cheese, you haft to try it with are sharp cheddar. I'm my opinion it's the best burger in Door County. Biggest work blunder (here or at previous job). Putting sour cream on a B.L.T instead of mayo.

You must love food. What's your favorite meal? I love Caribbean Cuisine, so Jerk Chicken is my favorite dish.

People love our black bean salad. We have many requests for the recipe which we happlily give out. So we decided to also put it on our blog. Hope you enjoy! Feel free to send us any photos of what you made. We would love to see them!

Combine:

¼ cup red wine vinegar

¼ cup sugar

½ TBSP salt

1 tsp White pepper

½ TBSP cumin

1/2 TBSP chili powder

½ cup salad oil

½ tsp tabasco

 

Then add

 

2.5 # Black beans

¼ red onion, chopped

4 green onions, chopped

¼  red pepper, chopped

½ green pepper, chopped

2 TBSP cilantro, chopped

 

Chill and serve.

Favorite Part of working in a restaurant? To meet new people

 

Favorite menu item? Everyone should try the breakfast homemade granola, yogurt & fruit, for lunch the fiesta salad with black olives, and for dinner portabella mushroom stir-fry and bumbleberry pie. Its my favorite menu items.

 

Biggest work blunder (here or at previous job) It was 7 pm and I told "Good Morning" to a customer.

Favorite menu item? I love all the healthy choices but my favorite meal is our brisket sandwich with coleslaw and sweet potato fries.



You must love food. What's your favorite meal? My favorite meal is a ribeye steak and salad. Biggest Work Blunder Dropping a 5 gallon bucket of Italian dressing on the stairs and having it explode all over me.

What else do you enjoy doing in Door County? Stand up paddle board in Eagle Harbor. Also I love to go out for coffee early and read the paper.

So what exactly is your role at Julie’s? In my opinion, my role is very important for the staff and restaurant because I meet customers, make drinks, help with drinks, and clean tables. I like working here. It gives me real pleasure.

 

So, what do you want to be when you grow up? My department is international relations. I try to study English and German and I'll have opportunity. I would like to work in an international organization or company.



Favorite Part of working in a restaurant? I like meeting customers. My favorite part is to make drinks because it is interesting for me and I can learn new information.

Favorite Part of working in a restaurant? Food! Seeing food! looking at food! Thinking about what to do with food! Also, connecting with customers. I love having the food/beverage on the table before they even sit down!

However, creamy gravy or cheesy anything always turns my head! Pot roast, stroganoff, alfredo anything, Mexican anything, and anything you can add hot sauce to!
