With the coming of May, Door County starts to look alive. Shops, restaurants, and motels that went into hibernation for the winter start to blossom open. One of the first big events of the season that we see is the Door County Half Marathon. This year the event will take place on May 5. As always, the beautiful run is in Peninsula State Park. If you don't know this already, Peninsula State Park is right in our backyard. Whether you come to run, to cheer someone on, or just happen to be up that weekend, please come visit us and say hi on our second weekend open for the season. We look forward to our Spaghetti dinner on Friday night. Carbo load before the big race. Stay at our Fish Creek motel Friday night so you are right at the park's door for the race in the morning. Join us for lunch or dinner Saturday night or for breakfast on Sunday on your way out of town.
